January - March: High Season

Everybody wants to visit Mancora in January, and March. The little town becomes a concurred point due to its tropical weather, with temperatures that round a maximum of 113ºF in its highest peaks and no less than 77ºF in most days. Refreshing rains reduce the heat during these months, but there can also be heavier rainfalls. When tourism increases, the accommodation demands also increase and, therefore, the prices go higher as well.

April: Middle Season

The heat becomes moderate in comparison with the previous months, but the summer is still in force and the people go around the town, throughout the day, with light clothing. The season becomes middle because the summer vacations are done and many national visitors go back to their cities. However, the Easter holiday and the Holy Week make Mancora the host of a big audience during, approximately, a week. The Holy Week starts the first Sunday after the first full moon that follows the spring equinox.

May - June: Low Season

Tourism decreases and becomes light, but the tourist activity never stops in the town since it is very close to the Ecuador frontier and many buses and vehicles have to transit through the Panamerica North highway. Some businesses close earlier in the closest zone to the boulevard. The high temperatures remain.

July: High Season

Winter begins in Mancora and the temperatures go, at nights, down to 62.6ºF. The month of the peruanidad attracts hundreds of tourists to Mancora. To celebrate the independence holidays, the national authorities usually declare a long holiday. The rates go higher due to the strong demand for accommodations and tourist services.

August - October: Middle Season

Passages go higher because these months are an opportune time to appreciate the appearance of the humpback whales in the shore. The accessibility that the Mancora town has to the beaches makes it one of the best places to observe the arrival of the whales. More than one thousand humpback whales precipitate to the Peruvian north cost to reproduce and spawn in tropical waters. You can better appreciate this natural spectacle during the morning hours.
